Customer Service Representative 
Position Purpose: 

Responsible for performing a wide variety of functions for Administrative Services department and other departments within Bear River Mutual. Provides exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, including insured’s, claimants, and agents. Supports management and maintains a high level of confidentiality regarding decisions made on behalf of Bear River.  Projects the company’s professional image.

We have one full time and one part time schedule available. 

Essential Job and basic duties:

1 Verifies, assigns and sets up First Notice of Loss reports via phone and incoming mail. 
2 Inputs information for First Notice of Loss Roadside Assistance reports and assigns to the appropriate employee .
3 Accepts credit card payments via phone. 
4 Monitors and returns messages received in the Call Center voicemail box as assigned.
5 Resolves general inquiries and/or problems for callers and walk-ins for the Underwriting, Claims, and Accounting departments.
6 Imports Claims Fax folder documents to appropriate employee. 
7 Acts as a backup for daily CSR tasks when required or assigned. 

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:
High School graduate or equivalent.
Required Knowledge:
Knowledge of basic Insurance key terms, and concepts.
Basic understanding of business service functions.
Knowledge of related computer applications.
Experience Required:
Two years Insurance background preferred. 
1-2 years of Customer Service experience required. 

Skills/Abilities:
Strong typing abilities. 
Good communication and public relations skills.
Well organized and attentive to detail.
Excellent phone skills.
Willing to cooperate with and assist others.
Able to use PC, printer, phones, and basic business equipment.

Personal Lines Underwriter

Summary of Job's Purpose:

Essential Job Functions:

1 Provide a high level of customer service by delivering timely responses to agents and policyholders on quotes, amendments, and renewals
2 Critical decision-making in acceptance, modification, or declination of Personal Lines accounts
3 Utilizes knowledge of policy systems to automate underwriting processing for new or renewal policies
4 Consistently demonstrate ability to carry out deliverables and manage priorities
5 Assist in the maintenance and enhancement of underwriting guidelines
6 Participate in underwriting audits of peers and agencies
7 Service existing policies/renewals (as needed)

Qualifications:

Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree required
CPCU or equivalent experience

Qualifications/Experience Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of customers
Action oriented and results driven
Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast paced environment

Skills/Abilities: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Good organization/prioritization skills

Experience Required: 3-6 years of insurance experience

Job Description

Naylor Insurance Agency, a small, well-established, multi-line independent insurance agency located at 8494 S 700 E, Sandy, is looking for an experienced full-time Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our team. We're seeking a dedicated, friendly, and positive person with excellent customer service skills. You will support existing clients with service to their policies as well as help the agency acquire new business. A portion of your day will also be spent making outbound calls, following up on leads, and offering quotes. You'll need great follow-up and organizational skills as well. We're located in a beautiful building and offer a comfortable and friendly work environment. 

Responsibilities

  • Attend to phone calls and correspondence with clients and insurance companies.
  • Receive visiting clients and provide them with necessary assistance.
  • Take information and provide quotes from prospective clients.
  • Complete applications from information gathered.
  • Prospect new clients from leads and personal referrals.
  • Cross-sell current agency book of business.
  • Keep accurate records and follow up with both clients and insurance companies.
